While in the Annex, I stopped by Seekers Books, a Toronto landmark for over three decades (since 1988) below Mezcalero (a new mezcal and tapas bar) at the corner of Bloor & Borden.
Owned by two siblings, Seekers houses an eclectic array of new and used books, specializing in mysticism and the occult, at low prices.
I was impressed by their collection of Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew classics and niche Hollywood biographies, but my favourite discovery by far was Churchill, aptly named after Sir Winston, the surly feline shop assistant (aka. bookstore tabby cat) :)
