#3. Strange Adventures Comics & Curiosities
📍LOCATION: 5110 Prince Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia
🏨 HISTORY:
Canada’s oddest and award-winning comic book store!
Located in the historic Mitchell House (circa 1820), a three storey ironstone Georgian house situated on the north-east corner of Prince and Lower Water Streets in Halifax, Nova Scotia
Strange Adventures now has 3 locations in Atlantic Canada (Halifax, Dartmouth, and Fredericton)
📝 LOU’S NOTES:
Reminiscent of the comic book store in the Big Bang Theory with more hipster, historic charm!
Wednesday is “New Comics Day” and the new releases are usually ready by 10am
They buy/sell new and old comics, graphic novels, toys, board games, card games, clothing, anime & manga
They offer a subscription service where you can get new comics delivered to your door every week!
The staff are so knowledgeable about all things comics, so don’t hesitate to ask them for guidance
Incredible spot for collectors and comic book aficionados
The owner and his dog are pictured on the free postcards near the counter (a fun souvenir!)
